The Business Class program was designed to attract
immigrants who have abilities and resources enabling them
to invest in or establish businesses in Canada that will
support the development of a strong and prosperous
Canadian economy. And aside from resources and business
abilities, Canada also very much values a business or
investor's network of contacts in their own country and
around the world.
According to Citizenship and Immigration Canada there
are three categories in the Business class:
- Investors

Individuals with demonstrable 2 years business
experience, a minimum net worth of CAD$800,000 and a
willingness to invest CAD$400,000, locked in for 5
years.

Entrepreneurs

Individuals with demonstrable 2 years business
experience, a minimum net worth of CDN $300,000, who
will own and manage their own business in Canada that
will create jobs for Canadians.

Self-Employed

Individuals with the intention and ability to:

create their own employment that will contribute
to the cultural, artistic or athletic life of
Canada, or

purchase and manage a farm in Canada.
